Key Scientific Competencies

  • Nanotechnology – Force, optical and electron microscopy methods. Nanoparticles, dynamic light scattering, surface techniques, and cleanroom procedures.
  • Chemistry – Organic synthesis, analysis (MS, NMR, UV-Vis, TLC), molecular self-assembly, macromolecules, polymers, photo chemistry and physical chemistry.
  • Physics – X-rays, metal evaporation techniques, and solid state physics.
  • Biotechnology – Biophysics, biomimetic systems, Ion channels, and membranes.
  • IT – Molecular simulation, fitting X-ray scattering data, and scientific illustrations.


Non-Scientific Competencies

  • Management - Basic IPR, and management of science and technology, and project management, PRINCE2 certified.
  • Communication – Presentation, teaching, and scientific writing.
